AFLP analysis of self-pollinating buckwheat lines.
DNA technology is being developed for variety identification as well as for genetical studies. It is presently being utilized for sequencing of desirable as well as undesirable genes. Cooperative studies are also underway to utilize linkages with known genes from different species, thus enabling the relatedness of the species to be determined.
