Abstract: (translated from Japanese) The plant materials evaluated were F. esculentum #284, F. homotropicum #1 and their F2 progeny. The DNA from ten plants of each flower type were bulked for the analysis of the F2 progeny. AFLP analysis identified some polymorphic bands that were linked to the Ho gene.

Key words: AFLP analysis, F. esculentum, buckwheat, DNA
